Traditional Culture from YOGYAKARTA

Hello guys. Now, I’m gonna tell you about an annual event of yogyakarta which is held in the Keraton of Yogyakarta. What is it? It is Sekaten.
Sekaten is a traditional culture from Yogyakarta which starts on 5th day of Javanese month Mauled to commemorate Prophet Mohammed. People from Yogyakarta still believe that by celebrating Sekaten, they will get rewards from the God. They believe God will give them healthy and good future.
The first day of the ceremony starts at midnight with a procession of the royal servants, called Abdi Dalem, who walk in two rows bringing two sets of Gamelan named Kyai Nogowilogo and Kyai Gunturmadu. They play this Gamelan simultaneously until the 11thday Mauled. On the 12th of the Javanese month is the climax of the Sekaten ceremony, Grebeg Maulud. This festival starts by a parade of the Palace guard consisting in ten units. They are Wirobrojo, Daeng, Patangpuluh, Jogokaryo, Prawirotomo, Nyutro, Ketanggung, Mantrijero, Surokarso, and Bugis. These guards will wear their specific uniforms. The parade starts from the yard of northern Kemandungan of the palace. The Gunungan, an offering looks like a mountain made from foods like peanuts, vegetables, red peppers, and eggs. This Gunungan is a symbol of the wealth of Mataram land.

People especially young kid like to come to the  Sekaten because there were so many entertaining media. They was there enjoying the Bianglala, Boom-boom car and many more, there’s also a rumah hantu. It was very crowded that make us hard to breath and hard to move. But overall it was entertaining very well.

KANANA SOCKS

KANANA are shoes from sock which have a soft flexible outsole that provides freedom of movement in the indoor, on the wooden floor and tiles, and also durable enough to be used outdoors. You know, this product is more lovely because that shoes can be washed with washing machine. It is a perfect choice for a teen who too lazy too wash their shoes. If we use this shoes, we dont need to wear a sock, then use the shoes, next the shoes string. Ahh, it takes many time, right?

The way to make kanana socks is very simple, just by combining shoes and socks.
First, take the bottom of the shoes. And you know what? The socks that is used here have special ingredients, the inner layer is made of cotton fabric and the outer layer is made of velvet fabric. The cotton fabric will make your foot warm and the velvet fabric will make your socks stronger like shoes. We combine those materials with a special adhesive called a Velcro. This velcro makes both materials easy to be assembled. We will give you lifetime guarantee if velcro is not functioned as well as we said.
And the important for young people, you can decorate your kanana socks by paint on it or add ornaments that you like.

You can use it for take a walk, jogging, or just show off that you can make something different. You can But becareful when you use that. Because you can get trampled by other people's shoes and its so hurt :") But overall, its a flexible shoes that can make you feel comfort. So, what are you waiting for? My Past Regret

Good evening, my loyal reader. We meet again. In this time I’ll tell you about my past regret. This regret happened when I was in high school.
First, when I was in junior high school I don’t focus on my study. I was playing game everyday. Sometime I also absent the school meeting and went to the game center for playing game. Therefore, make me unable to concentrated about my study. And I just realized after I saw my marks is extremely decreasing from before when I in third grade junior high school.
And then, when I was in senior high school I don’t play game anymore. I joined so many extracurricular activities like; football, futsal, peleton inti¸ rohis, and adventur club. And the other hand, I also have activity in the outside of my school. But, I never focus in just one activities. This is make me loss concentrate in my activities and my study too. My study became ruined.

After that experience, I realized that concentrate in just one activity is very important because we still can focus in our study. And now, I follow only one extracurricular activity in my campus, it was theater. My hope is concentrate in that activity and my study as well.

Pesangrahan Warungboto

Today, I'm going to tell you about our trip to Pesanggrahan Warungboto. A very beautiful ancient garden that was designed privetly is found in Warungboto area. When we pass by Jalan Veteran (the road directing to the right from the crossroad before Gembira Loka zoo) and see the ruins of a house-like building, we may neglect it as it looks like a common house building. Starting from now, however, we must know that the building is historical since it is one of the pesanggrahans built by Hamengku Buwono II.

The proof of it is that the name of the building is mentioned in one traditional Javanese song telling about Hamengku Buwono II. In that song, the building is not called pesanggrahan Warungboto as current people call it now, but it is named pesanggrahan Rejowinangun. The song itself in overall tells about the success gained during the reign of Hamengku Buwono II.

We began exploring the building from the front part or the one in direct border with the main road. This front part is of square shape with the floor made from something like cement. Located in front, this part possibly functioned as a hall or lobby as in modern buildings this time. From the front part, we can see the view of all complex of the pesanggrahan.

On the left side, there is a narrow, downward staircase. We could directly guest that the building of this pesanggrahan was of two stories like other buildings of similar pesanggrahan constructed of two floors. We have to be careful to go downward because there is no holding rail on both sides and much moss grow on most parts of it to make them slippery.

It is in this underground floor that we can see much of the enchanting parts of the building. The most beautiful part is the garden area that is completed with two ponds. The first pond is of circular shape with the diameter of 4.5 meters and the there is a water spring in the center of it. The second pond, on the other hand, is of square shape with the dimension of 10 meters x 4 meters. Those two ponds are adjacent one to each other with the connecting channel that can be seen clearly from the second pond.

To the north and south of the pond, there is a sufficient wide door of medium high. The door connects to other part of the underground space. In the east part of the pond, we will see three windows, one is of square shape and the other two are with arch shape on them. While in the west part of the pond, there is one door with an arch at the upper part, connecting to the next two arch doors equipped with some staircases. The last two doors connect the garden area underground to the ground floor.

If we walk to the back of the structure, we will find Prawiropermaden Family's graveyard. Therefore, we finished our trip in Pesanggrahan Warungboto. See you.

Traffic Jam

Traffic jam is almost everywhere. Those small roads are full of buses, cars, and motorcycles. They compete each other to get ahead, to claim the access to roads. Traffic accidents frequently occur, and traffic dispute increases in number. Such this traffic jam happens every day, at any hour: from early morning to late night.

This traffic problem has started since long time ago, but prominently since ten years ago, when people turned to private transport from public transport. Cars and motorcycles replaced the function of buses. People gave up public transport because they are not efficient. They spent much time and money to take a short route. This is because buses halted some time at some places to collect passengers. Moreover, people disliked buses because the crew were rude and impolite. They shouted and dropped passengers abruptly and rudely.

Such a negative experience is complicated by the fact that the physical conditions of public transports were very poor: hot and smell bad. On the other hand, people could afford cars and motorcycles at very low down-payment. Since then, many regular passengers turned to cars and motorcycles, and the increasing traffic began.

My Creepy Experience

When I was senior high school, I joined the organization of nature lovers. Because of that, I like hiking a mountain. In this time, I’ll tell you about my experience while I hiked the Merbabu Mountain.

Erlier, I’ll tell you a little bit about the Merbabu Mountain. If you want to go there, you’ll see a house in the border of village road and hiking trail. The house is uninhabited and there are only have offerings. And behind the house there is a small grave. After passing through the house, you really were in hiking trail.

My experience happened in here. I and my friends made the hike around eleven o’clock at night and get in this place at midnight. I was at the back and lagged a bit far. Suddenly, I was heard a voice just behind me; like a wishper. The voice from women who want help, call my name with a faint voice “Danang...Danang..”. After that, I rushed to move closer to the line and continue our journey with no one else know. Only me.

After arriving at the basecamp, I told to my friends about what’s going on. And my friend try to ask the villager and villager said, around that place, there was a woman who commited to suicide with hanged herself.
